This story originally appeared in Top Shelf #6. It's thinly disguised autobiography, of course. Every summer a close friend of mine would go up to Alaska to work on a fishing boat. This comic was my attempt to recall that feeling of late-night wandering as a teenager, nowhere to go, nothing to do, your whole life stretching out in front of you. Astute eyes will recognize several landmarks of Seattle's University District, although I won't hold it against you if you don't. I hope you enjoy it.
