Jensen,
Kristopher Thor
Disciplinary
Record
Garfield High School
9/90-6/94
9/90 Late for orientation assembly on the first day
of school. When questioned as to his tardiness, responded
"I don't know." Sullen and uncooperative. Given a
warning.
10/90 Confrontation between Jensen and another student
in Phys. Ed. 2nd period, teacher: Beckwith. Jensen
claimed the other student (Jensen did not know his
name) stole his gym locker padlock, which carries
a $1 fine if not returned. Given a warning.
11/90 Called in to explain poor attendance in Phys.
Ed. Had no explanation. Called parents, discovered
he lives with his mother only.
12/90 Attendance shows no improvement. Subject claims
to be "beat up" in Phys. Ed. whenever he goes, but
Beckwith has never seen evidence of it.
2/91 Sent to see me by Susan Adkins, Jensen's English
teacher, re: his insistence on using a class assignment
to demonstrate "how to do something" as an excuse
to demonstrate "how to eat fire," and claiming that
Adkins" was discriminating against him" because he
was descended from "circus folk." Explained district
fire policy.
3/91 Jensen
fails Phys. Ed.
10/91 Came to school with the left half of his head
badly shaved. Insisted on doing "touch-up" during
Ecology class.
12/91 Jensen came to me complaining of harassment
and physical abuse. Told him there was nothing I could
do.
1/92 Jensen brought in with his
confederate, Jacob Carroll, by their Japanese teacher,
Yukiko Raffety. They are disruptive and often rude
in class.
6/92 Yukiko Raffety quits. Carroll and Jensen
both pass Japanese, with D's.
4/93 Jensen and Carroll brought in by Yuki Miyashita,
the new Japanese teacher. Jensen complains that she
insists upon calling him "Kristopher," his first name.
I tell him that's her perogative, and he calls me
"Clarence."
4/93 Jensen is now refusing to acknowledge Miyashita
at all; when she says "Kristopher" he looks away or
whistles.
5/93 Sent Jensen to Mrs. Heideman, the guidance counselor.
No progress.
5/93 Jensen threatened with suspension for activities
related to "Poonflang Dammerung," a fictional candidate
for Senior Class President. Jensen, Seth Kolloen,
Nathan Atkins, Katharine Miller, and others made to
stay after school removing the hundreds of posters
they had put up.
6/93 Jensen pulled out of his swimming class final,
brought to Jack Babani's math class to explain message
written in chocolate pudding on the hallway wall,
reading "Thor is a Sex God." Threatened with expulsion.
Jensen blamed Jacob Carroll, currently attending Summit
Alternative School. Jensen was given one hour to find
Carroll to confirm his alibi. He did so.
6/93 Several sophomores complained about being pelted
with chocolate pudding. Jensen was nowhere to be found.
Last day of the school year.
10/93 Jensen, Siri Nelson, Eric Stata, and Stephanie
Dorman brought into the office. Bus driver claims
they were singing the theme song from the television
cartoon "Transformers" at the top of their lungs.
Jensen claims they were testing if the video camera
was working. Asked to see the tape. Gave them a warning.
11/93 Jensen has been selected as a National Merit
semi-finalist. He has the lowest GPA of any such semi-finalist
in the school's history.
11/93 Jensen counducted an interview with homosexual
advice columnist "Dan Savage" for the Messenger. When
informed that we would not allow him to print the
phrase "gets my dick hard" or the word "shit," he
insisted on seeing me. Accused me of being a racist
and a homophobe, pointing out that I had not stopped
the Messenger from reprinting rap lyrics containing
the words "fuck," "shit,"and "bitch." I stood my ground.
3/94 Jensen pilfered the mouthpiece of a trumpet belonging
to a student at Washington Middle School who rode
his bus. Gave him two days lunchroom duty.
3/94 Jensen passes out on the floor of the lunchroom.
Attributes it to low blood sugar and a poor diet.
The lunchroom attendant gives him free chicken nuggets
and lets him go early.
3/94 I apprehend Jensen in Genetics and ask him why
he left the lunchroom early. He states that the attendant
let him go. I tell him that she has no authority,
and only I can discharge him. He scoffs, and I grab
him by the ear and return him to the lunchroom. He
threatens to sue me.
6/94 Jensen graduates.
Notes: Kristopher "Thor" Jensen had no respect for
the authority of a high-school vice principal. He
continually flaunted the rules, but when apprehended
seemed truly contrite, often breaking down in tears.
He also often referred to himself in the third person,
which is (I have read) a sign of a personality disorder.
